Members Vote Phoenix Health Fund Number 1!

It seems that Phoenix Health fund are doing something right, or at least that’s what their members are saying.

The health industry survey run by HIRMAA and Discovery Research in February 2011, produced astounding results for Phoenix and left them with a priority number one member satisfaction rating over all other health funds. This is a terrific result leaving Phoenix with top three status for three years in a row.

HIRMAA is the Health Insurance Restricted Membership Association of Australia and represents 17 different restricted access and regional health funds, one being Phoenix Health Fund. HIRMAA was established in 1978 and exists to represent the interests of its health insurers.

HIRMAA’s survey was designed to give an extensive outlook as to how different areas of the Fund are operating with questions focused on claims, communication, telephone service and the products and benefits offered. The results were given to all of HIRMAA’s funds and gave them all a good insight into what the members are actually thinking.

The CEO of Phoenix Health Fund, William Beaton was more than happy with the results. “I think one of the best things we can take from this survey is gaining a clear understanding of what our members want. If we listen and act with the best interest of our members in mind, we will continue to provide our quality products and services.”

Phoenix Health Fund performed extremely well on all satisfaction measures in the research, with 99% of members saying they were quite satisfied with the service and value that they received from the Fund. Phoenix was also awarded with a 99% satisfaction rating for their ability to communicate with its members.

Mr Beaton stated the results as being “a great achievement by Phoenix Health Fund to top the HIRMAA survey for the third year. The big challenge is now to do it all again.”

All staff of Phoenix Health Fund are delighted with the survey results and now look to improving their already number one position by acting on suggestions given by members.
